
SPINAL TAP
AN EXPLORATION IN DIGITAL FABRICATION
Spinal Tap is a mens jacket exploring the capabilities of 3D printed materials. The jacket’s design questions how we imagine the human form. The skeleton becomes visible, its structural role celebrated and informing the expression of the ruffles and fabric. This garment was showcased at the 2018 Wharton Charity Fashion Show.

MATERIAL STUDIES
Our material studies explored the potential application of a 3D printed fabric we developed. Mixing materials using a heat gun revealed a beautiful and unique propensity for expansion.
